How it works

Water flows into the water guard system via a stainless steel shut off valve to the first filter housing that contains a 5 micron pleated clean and reuse filter. The 2nd filter housing contains an activated carbon block filter to remove chemicals, toxins, bad smells and odors and the 3rd filter housing contains a 1 micron poly prop filter, to remove even the finest of sediments from your water supply. The filtration is followed by a powerful UV sterilizer, to safeguard against water born diseases, Bacteria, E.Coli, Giardia and Crypto ending at another stainless steel valve. These 2 x stainless steel shut off valves close off the whole system for ease of servicing and 2 liquid filled differential pressure gauges show when filter change or cleaning is required. Water Guard Residential Gold System

Each unit is fully assembled, pressure tested and easy for your plumber to install. Each unit is manufactured using high quality 304 stainless steel fittings, electronic ballast, long life UV lamp, filter housings are NSF Class 42 tested for pressure, leakage and durability, pressure gauges to identify filters for cleaning & changes, an outer aluminum box with a Perspex window for protection and safety. *Simple - 1,2,3......Mount to the wall, connect up and plug in simplicity.*
Water Guard Residential Gold Systems are used for all rural residential houses on tank, bore, river, lake, or town water supply. The unit filters and sterilises at rates of up to 100 Ltrs per minute and sterilises at a strong UVC output of 40mJ/sqcm, protecting you and your family against water born diseases from bacteria like E.Coli, Giardia and Crypto. These bugs can create havoc with your body's health system. Forget about having to boil water, the Water Guard will take care of your water needs. People do not generally think about water quality, however, consider the dangers when brushing your teeth, having a shower or bath, general water use for cooking and drinking. The Ultra Violet Light Steriliser has a powerful 95W lamp and a Electronic Ballast which ensures trouble free operation for many years. The Ballast has a dry-relay contact, so you can add an external alarm, a flashing light or a shut-off valve, in case of lamp failure. The ballast has red and greed LEDs and a build-in siren, to alert you to any lamp failure now with an extra long life rated at 13,000 hours. During periods of non-use, the water temperature in the UV chamber can rise up to 80 degrees C. This is bad for the stainless steel chamber, as it expands and contracts all the time, thus weakening the material and the life of the UV lamp is also dramatically shortened. By naturally cooling the UV chamber, an even water temperature is maintained at about 40C. At this temperature range, the UVC radiation is at its maximum performance, the lamp life is extended to its full potential saving you money. Commercial premises require large flow rates and therefore an even stronger system. The Water Proof Water Guard Commercial Platinum system is similar to the Gold System in appearance, but has some major difference in performance. The Ultra Violet Light Steriliser is superior and with a different and extra powerful 2 x 95 watt lamps providing a UVC dose in excess of 60mJ/sqcm at a flow rate of up to 100 ltr per min protecting staff and customers against water born diseases from bacteria like E.Coli, Giardia and Crypto. These bugs can create havoc with your body's health system. Forget about having to boil water, the Water Guard will take care of your water needs. People do not generally think about water quality, however, consider the dangers when brushing your teeth, having a shower or bath, general water use for cooking and drinking. For large premises with high flow rates it is recommended to install two, three or more systems in parallel to achieve the required sterilisation capacity. Every system comes with an additional stainless steel solenoid water shut-off valve. In case of lamp failure, the solenoid valve shuts off the water, thus safeguarding the water supply against any contamination. The advantage of having two or more systems in parallel is obvious. In case of a failure of one lamp in one system, not the whole of the water supply will be cut off, but only from the faulty unit. The other units will continue to function, albeit at a lower flow rate.
