Drawing water from the Waikato for Auckland’s water supply has caused some concern to say the least. The reasons are quite simple. Listed in 4 bullet points below is some of what goes into the river upstream of Auckland’s intake pipe. The same could go for your water supply for your part of the country!
•Sewage is dumped into the river from many towns, some raw and untreated.
•Over 450,000 cattle’s runoff goes into the river.
•Nitrate runoff from fertilisers from the 100’s of farms
•Polluted runoff water from industry that goes into the storm water and ends up in the Waikato River.
In Addition:
Nitrates, Salmonella, Campylobacter Giardia, E Coli and Cryptosporidia, dioxin and Lindane, DDT, Malathione and heavy metals can be found in varying amounts in many water sources in NZ and around the world.
Water companies filter and chemically clean the water with Chlorine and then add Fluoride. Again Fluoride is a pretentious issue (Mass Medication) around the world.
A Statement from this customer in Waihi on Tank water –“If you have a filter under the sink in the kitchen and you think you are safe – think again!”. After spending a week in Waikato Hospital we found our water was very high in E Coli and our whole house was unprotected, i.e. this infected water we cleaned our teeth with, showered, bathed with, filled the jug for a cuppa, wash the dishes in the dishwasher, laundered our cloths, towels, tea towels, face cloths and we were spreading these germs and bacteria.
NOTE: The water in the dishwasher is not hot enough to kill all harmful bacteria.
