Warranty & Returns Policy
There is a 12 month warranty on the Water Guard UV Filtration System
The limitation is on physical damage such as freezing water expansion, running the system without a electrical surge protection device, operating the system without water or pump over pressure causing breakage or misuse.
Water Guard systems are warranted against failure due to defects in materials and/or workmanship during the warranty period. This warranty covers defects occurring under normal use and applies to the original retail purchaser and may not be transferred. The warranty and remedies set forth herein are conditional upon proper storage, installation, use, maintenance and conformance with the applicable use. It will be based upon Water Guards discretion as to whether the defects are of manufacturing origin.
This warranty does not apply to appearance or accessory items. This warranty does not include damage due to shipping and handling, transportation, unpacking, set up, installation, improper maintenance, incorrect line voltage, pump water pressure over 80psi, operating the system with no water, modification, abuse, misuse, neglect, accident, fire, flood, acts of God or repair or replacement of parts supplied by any other than Water Guard NZ Ltd
Any oral statements about this product made by the seller, the manufacturer, their representatives or any other party does not constitute warranties and shall not be relied upon by the user and are not part of the Water Guard NZ Ltd warranty contract.
Neither the seller nor the manufacturer shall be liable for any injury, loss or damages, direct, incidental or consequential including but not limited to lost profits, lost sales, injury, inability to use the product and the user agrees that no other remedy is available.
Before installing, the user shall determine the suitability of the product for their intended use and the user shall assume all risk liability whatsoever in connection therewith.
Complete Unit: One year from the date of purchase
Warranty does not cover any malfunction from improper installation or servicing from a unlicensed plumber. Installation and servicing of your system to the specifications outlined in the owners installation guide.
Warranty only applies to the original end user and is not transferable.
Warranty does not cover repairs done by anyone other than a licensed master plumber.
Warranty is void if system is not plugged into a surge protector
Warranty may not be modified by verbal statements by Water Guard NZ Ltd, distributors, retailers, their agents or any other party.
Warranty covers the replacement of faulty parts of the Water Guard product for 1 year.
Water Guard NZ Ltd denies all liability for any other loss including but not limited to loss of equipment, income, livestock or personal injury.
Lamps are prorated by usage. Replaced free of charge within 2 months, up to 6 months will be charged at 50% over 6 months will be charged at going rate.
All warranty claims must have the warranty claim form completed and sent with the faulty product back to Water Guard NZ Ltd.
Water Guard Agents must contact Water Guard NZ Ltd before any warranty work is carried out giving all details of the fault and what actions are needed to rectify the problem.
Warranty is voided by the following
Any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are limited to one year from the date of purchase or as otherwise stated in the above warranty.
Water Guard NZ Ltd is not responsible for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
All faulty products are to be sent back to Water Guard NZ Ltd for repair freight free.
No new products will be sent until we have the faulty part for checking and testing.
No payment for labour or travel expenses for very small remedial work on the Water Guard system in the warranty period unless Water Guard NZ Ltd has given approval.
Email us via our "contact form" and we will send you a returns number, send the item back via courier with this number and we will gladly replace the item. Please advise us of the courier you are using and the tracking number for any returns.
